  • "Medication Management" means any ongoing monitoring, dosage adjustment, or clinical oversight of medication use after a prescription has been issued. This is explicitly excluded from our service.
  • "Post-Issuance Care" refers to any follow-up, aftercare, or clinical support provided after a prescription or document has been issued. This is not part of our service.
  • "Prescription" refers to a private prescription issued electronically via SignatureRx, based on information provided by the user and clinical discretion. It does not include medication management, post-issuance care, or responsibility for outcomes related to medication use.
  • "Professional Indemnity Insurance" refers to the insurance policy held by us that covers clinical negligence and related risks, subject to its terms and limits.
  • "Service" means the provision of online consultations, private prescriptions, sick notes, referral letters, and repeat prescriptions for non-serious, non-emergency conditions.
  • "Summary Care Record (SCR)" means your digital NHS record containing essential health information such as medications, allergies, and adverse reactions.
  • "Terms" means these Terms and Conditions, including any updates or amendments.
  • "Third-Party Platforms" refers to external services used to deliver our service, including Stripe (for payments) and SignatureRx (for prescriptions). We are not liable for their performance or data handling.
  • "We", "Us", "Our" refers to I Need A Prescription, the UK-based online clinic operated by a licensed prescribing pharmacist.
  • "You", "Your" refers to the individual accessing or using our services.

Any terms not expressly defined in these Terms and Conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with their commonly accepted meaning within the context of UK healthcare, digital services, and applicable law. Where ambiguity arises, interpretation shall favour the limitation of liability and the intended scope of service as described herein.

1. About Us

We are a UK-based online clinic operated by a licensed prescribing pharmacist. We provide remote consultations and private prescriptions for non-serious, non-emergency conditions. Our services are designed for convenience and do not replace in-person medical care.

2. Eligibility

You must be a UK resident aged 18 or over. You agree to complete consultations truthfully, accurately, and on your own behalf. You must not use this service for or on behalf of another person.

3. Scope of Services

We offer online consultations, private prescriptions (if clinically appropriate), sick notes, referral letters, and repeat prescriptions. All clinical decisions are made manually by a licensed prescriber. We do not provide face-to-face consultations or post-issuance follow-up care.Once a prescription has been issued, our involvement in your treatment ends. You are solely responsible for seeking further medical advice, support, or clarification from your GP, pharmacist, or healthcare provider if needed. We are not liable for any outcomes, side effects, adverse reactions, or complications arising from the use, misuse, or administration of medication obtained through prescriptions issued via our service. You must follow all instructions provided by your dispensing pharmacist and consult a qualified healthcare professional before taking any medication.

4. Clinical Limitations

Prescriptions are issued solely based on the information you provide and your Summary Care Record (SCR). We do not conduct physical examinations or access full medical histories. You acknowledge that this service is not a substitute for in-person medical care. Statements regarding speed or convenience are illustrative only. We do not guarantee same-day issuance or treatment outcomes.

5. No Guarantee of Treatment

Use of this service does not guarantee that a prescription or document will be issued. Clinical suitability is determined case-by-case. We reserve the right to refuse treatment without explanation.

6. Accuracy of Information

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and truthfulness of all information submitted. We are not liable for any harm, injury, or adverse outcome resulting from false, misleading, or omitted details.

7. Informed Consent

By using our service, you confirm that you understand and accept the risks, limitations, and nature of remote prescribing. You voluntarily consent to treatment based on the information you provide

8. Prescriptions

Prescriptions are issued only if clinically appropriate. You are responsible for presenting the prescription to a UK pharmacy. Medication costs are not included in our fees. We do not monitor or manage the use of prescriptions after issuance.

9. Payments and Refunds

You will only be charged if you are deemed suitable for treatment. If no prescription or document is issued, no fee will be charged. Once issued, all fees are strictly non-refundable.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you shall not exceed the lower of: (a) the amount paid for the service, or (b) the maximum limit of our professional indemnity insurance policy. Our services are provided under professional indemnity insurance, which includes coverage for medical negligence and related risks. We exclude liability for any claims, losses, or damages that fall outside the scope of our insurance coverage. We further exclude liability for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of income, emotional distress, reputational harm, or any other non-direct losses arising from your use of our services, reliance on issued prescriptions, or interactions with third-party platforms.

All content on this website is for informational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

12. Use of Summary Care Record

We may access your Summary Care Record to conduct safe clinical checks. You consent to this access by using our service.

13. Data Protection

We store consultation records securely in accordance with UK GDPR. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details.

14. Third-Party Platforms

We use Stripe (for payments) and SignatureRx (for prescriptions). We are not liable for any loss, delay, or data breach arising from third-party platforms used to deliver our services. You agree to hold us harmless from any claims related to their use

15. Misuse of Service

You agree not to misuse this website or submit false information. 16. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control.

17. Contract Formation

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us.

19. Severability

If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

20. No Waiver

Failure to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver.

21. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

22. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to our services at any time, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms and Conditions, misuse the platform, submit false or misleading information, or engage in conduct that we deem harmful, unlawful, or disruptive. Termination may include cancellation of pending consultations or refusal to issue prescriptions.

We shall not be liable for any loss or damages arising from such termination. You may also discontinue use of our services at any time; however, fees already paid are non-refundable once a prescription or document has been issued.
